I get the joke, it's a metaphor for chocolate flavored strawberries and how our tastes can be defined by our personality, creating a part of our individual self, through our subconscious mind to our conscious mind.

The static effect when AMPM was making a deal with the darkest dark of dark ones was genius, and extremely clever. I love little details like that!
